Wearcycle

A SECOND LIFE TO FABRICS,
A SECOND CHANCE TO THE WORLD.

A second life
to fabrics,
a second chance
to the world.

At Ternua we are committed to sustainable progress, to advancing without destroying, to taking advantage of existing resources without polluting our environment. Because only in this way can we weave our future while taking care of nature at the same time. That's why Wearcycle was created, a unique project in which post-consumer textile waste is recycled to create new garments.

Our collaboration with Gureak and BELDA LLORENS gives us the capability to solve a major problem. Using the fabric waste from the Gureak laundries, we select the waste that can be transformed into new garments. The chosen sheets and tablecloths are sent to the BELDA LLORENS factory, where we create a very hard-wearing and completely sustainable thread which becomes the raw material for Ternua garments.

And then we do it again, having created a unique and eco-innovative project that encourages the circular economy.

Garments and accessories that are reborn from discarded fabrics to create a unique, original and environmentally friendly collection.

SEACYCLE

CONTRIBUTING TO
PLASTIC FREE OCEANS.

Marine litter is accumulating in the waters around the world and poses a great threat to flora, fauna and human beings. Plastic waste causes the strangulation, malformation and death of marine species and turns into microplastics that enter the food chain and can affect human health.

A sea of helpers
working in our rivers

The young people of today will be responsible for taking care of our planet in the future. And it is our responsibility to raise their awareness and educate them right now. At Ternua, we promote the importance of nature with the aim that they continue to respect and take care of our legacy. That's the reasoning behind Plastifish Kostera, a project conceived by the Mater Ecoactive Boat Museum in collaboration with Ternua, EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association) and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa – a project to raise awareness and involve people in the eradication of a major problem: the rubbish in the sea.
